I’m always a little suspicious that stories like this without any sort of linked source are a bit bogus, but it just gets worse when you hear a bit more:
This should have taken around 7 minutes to sort out, not 7 hours. do the police no longer have the ability to differentiate between a possible terrorist threat and someone being a little hyperbolic?
It’s more likely that they have got boxes to tick if they get a bomb threat. These checklists are drawn up by the likes of the Met who have real threats and then applied country wide by police automatons what aren’t _allowed_ to use common sense.
